Sean Murphy
Mr. Murphy is a successful designer serving private, corporate and institutional clients.
In addition to being a Georgia registered Landscape Architect, he is a LEED Accredited Professional and an ISA Certified Arborist with more than twenty years of experience.
Although his college education was focused primarily in Landscape Architecture, Mr. Murphy has a core education in fine arts and design. Prior to enrolling at Purdue University his arts education included three years at the Pinellas County (FL) Center for the Arts. He also spent a year on an exchange program in Edinburgh, Scotland attending the renowned College of Art and Design. Beyond college he has continued to further his artistic development by attending workshops and training studios such as Mike Lynn’s Graphic Workshop.Mr. Murphy’s experiences and training have been diverse and he practices a wide variety of design services.
In addition to Landscape Architecture Mr. Murphy practices residential architectural design and site engineering. He has been providing these various services on a professional basis for over twenty years. Mr. Murphy’s core focus areas are:

Sean’s reputation for excellence was established early in his career and by 2000 he started his own firm (Amenity Architects, LLC) which he later sold to merge with a larger multi-disciplinary company in Atlanta (Southeastern Engineering, Inc – SEI). His client list has grown to include a Georgia governor, several famous sports figures, respected and well known business owners, major retailers, municipalities, land developers, community organizations and a host of other professional firms.
Through the application of innovative design, effective construction techniques, and expert advice, Mr. Murphy develops workable solutions that achieve his clients’ goals and objectives under budget and on schedule. His work often becomes a benchmark for excellence in the areas he practices, giving his clients an important advantage in achieving success in an increasingly competitive environment. All of his projects benefit from specialized skills in detailed sustainable design and life cycle cost analysis.
With over twenty years of experience, hundreds of successful projects and satisfied clients, Mr. Murphy has developed a reputation of excellence recognized by past employers, professional associations, his peers, and the residents and visitors of the communities and projects in which he has worked.
Current Position
In February 2011 Mr. Murphy joined long time colleague Joel Bowman and B+C Studio as the Director of Design.
B+C Studio is focused on Planning and Landscape Architecture with a diversity of work and clientele. Sean is responsible for overseeing the day to day design efforts of the studio staff as well as building new client relationships and pursuing public work.

Although most of Mr. Murphy’s experience has been in Metropolitan Atlanta, he started in the industry working at his Family’s nursery business in Largo, Florida. Technological Skills
In order to remain competitive in a world of constantly changing and advancing technology, Sean pursues a basic if not thorough understanding in most of the latest internet, social networking, CAD, creative and business related tools. From Twitter and FaceBook, to online marketing and website design, and from AutoCAD and Microstation to Photoshop and Adobe, Sean maintains the necessary technical expertise to ensure compatibility and continuity with any client’s technical needs and infrastructure. He is also proficient in all facets of word processing, graphic design, 3-D Modeling, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and some Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs.
